Software Locked License

Downloaded products and some of the software products available on the GTX Product CD are protected using a software locking mechanism. Each product is uniquely coded with an identification number and is reprogrammable by the end user. This has been a successful and useful method of upgrading a software license. All software-locked products include three options: Register, Activate, and Transfer.

Register allows you the product with GTX, and starts the process of activating the software product.

When GTX receives payment and registration, they will return an activation code. You will use the Activate feature to enable the software locked product.

The Transfer function allows you to move the software locked product to another computer.

The Activation Process

Activation Step 1: Register Your Product

To activate this software, register with with GTX Corporation. Without an activation code, the software will run in Demonstration Mode.

Demonstration Mode

The software will be installed in Demonstration Mode, in which it will let you try its features without being able to save or print.

Steps to Register Your Software:

1. If you downloaded this program from the GTX web site, GTX will have sent you an ID file as an attachment to an e-mail message. Save this attachment in the directory where you installed the software.

2. Select Register. The Registration Dialog will appear.

3. Enter your information in the Registration dialog. This may be done differently depending on whether you downloaded the product or installed it from a CD.

4. Select the Delivery Option – you can register by E-mail or Fax.

Activation Step 2: Activate Your Product

    1. GTX will return an activation code to you within one business day after receiving the registration.

    2. If you e-mailed the sitecode.txt file to GTX, you will receive an e-mail with an attached file, "activate.txt". Save this attachment in the directory where you installed the software. If you faxxed the sitecode.txt to GTX, you will receive a fax with the activation codes.

    3. Run the software and select "Activate".

    4. If you received the fax, you will enter the activation code in a dialog. If you received the activate.txt file, the product will find the activate.txt file and automatically become licensed without displaying the activation code dialog.
