NetHASP Configuration
A NetHASP distributed software license may be accessed by the GTX
protected application over local and wide area networks. In many cases,
where the networked client computers reside on differing segments of
the network, a NetHASP configuration file is required to access the
license. The configuration file is named NETHASP.INI. This is a text
file which in it's most common form contains the following text:
[NH_COMMON]
NH_TCPIP=Enabled
;
Use the TCP/IP protocol
[NH_TCPIP]
NH_TCPIP_METHOD=TCP
;
Send packet
type TCP or UDP
NH_USE_BROADCAST=Disabled
; Use of TCPI/IP Broadcast mechanism.
NH_SERVER_ADDR=NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN
; Where NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN represents
;
IP addresses of all the NetHASP
;
License Managers you want to search.
;
Unlimited addresses and multiple
;
lines are possible.
The search sequence for file folder placement of the NETHASP.INI
follows:
1. Protected executable file directory
(The
GTXImage CAD or GTXRaster CAD program directory)
2. Current directory
3. Windows directory
4. Path set in the system environment variables
We recommend placement of the file in the GTXImage CAD or GTXRaster
CAD program directory. The
INI file is common to all client computers which
will access a license from the
License Manager running on the computer with the stated
NH_SERVER_ADDR=
To simplify the creation of a common NETHASP.INI file GTX provides
an Aladdin Knowledge Systems program named NHINIWIZ.EXE which is
described in the following:
The NetHASP Configuration File Wizard is designed to help you create
or edit the NetHASP configuration file quickly and easily.
The NetHASP configuration file is a
file in which you can fine-tune the NetHASP settings for your protected
GTX application.
The NetHASP Configuration File Wizard lets you indicate which
protocols you are using, and specify new settings for each protocol.
You can go back and reedit a
previous screen at any point in the Wizard, by clicking Back.
To continue on to the following
screen, click Next. If
you want to exit the Wizard, click Cancel.

The recommended path, for the file named nethasp.ini, is the
GTXImage CAD or GTXRaster CAD path

This message indicates an un-editable nethasp.ini file resides in
the chosen file creation path. The interfering nethasp.ini file should
be removed from the chosen path in order to proceed.

Set the IP Address to that of the NetHASP license manager computer
and select the Add button.

GTX does not provide a NetHASP test utility; select "Do not load utility".
