Program Installation: GTXRaster CAD Series V6.0 for AutoCAD 2000

The GTX Raster CAD Series 6.0 program installs as an application which
works within one of the AutoCAD 2000 series programs. To begin, AutoCAD
2000 must be installed, useable, and registered within the Microsoft
Windows registry for the local machine user who has logged in to
install the Raster CAD Series program. The Raster CAD Series 6.0
installation starts from the GTX program CD, whether through the CD's
Autorun menus or by exploring and running [GTX CD]:\RCAD60\Setup.exe.
The Setup.exe installer will begin by displaying the following GTX
announcement page and the InstallShield Wizard preparation window.

Following the previous display, the End
User License Agreement will open. If you accept the terms of the license, select
the Yes button to continue the process. If you decline acceptance of
the agreement select the No button and the process will terminate,
ending the installation.

The Installation Options page offers a choice of operating modes for
the finished Raster CAD Series 6.0 installation. If you have a HASP
hardware key to support licensed use of the 6.0 product, select the
Licensed version. Otherwise select the Demonstration version. The
choice of a Licensed installation, which does not include the hardware
key, will allow the program to run in Demonstration mode after the
program fails to find a license.

For a licensed installation, the Program Level choice must be
correctly selected. Information on which level of the program to
selected may be gathered from the serial number of the purchased
product. The first letter of the product serial number is intended to
distinguish a license level, as follows:
The GTXRaster CAD PLUS serial number begins with PWC
The GTXRaster R2V serial number begins with VWC
The GTX Raster CAD serial number begins with RWC
The GTXRaster Tools serial number begins with TWC
For installation of a Demonstration version, without an issued serial
number, the GTX program will serve in a Demo mode for whichever program
level is selected.

The installed Raster CAD Series program files will be placed in the
Destination Folder selected during the next step. The default folder is
always as specified in the following window. An alternate folder may be
chosen by selecting the Browse button and navigating to a preferred
choice of hard drive partitions or folder names.

As mentioned at the beginning of this instruction page, AutoCAD 2000
must be registered in the Microsoft Windows registry for the local
machine user who is currently logged in to the computer. The following
message will be displayed if the GTX installation fails to find an
AutoCAD registry entry. If this Information message appears, select the OK
button and the installation will terminate. Run the 2000 ACAD.exe
program one time to create the necessary AutoCAD registration, then
restart the Raster CAD Series installation from it's Setup.exe program.

As an application which works within AutoCAD, the GTX program's
functions and appearance are defined in a unique AutoCAD profile. The
GTX installation will automatically create a profile in the following
steps.

The Program Folder name, specified in the next step, will be the name
seen in the Start>Programs list on your Windows desktop. This may be
modified to a name of your choice.
