Program Installation: GTXImage CAD Series V8.0
GTXImage CAD Series 8.0 is a stand alone program based on the AutoCAD 2004 OEM engine. This program performs most of the AutoCAD 2004 functions and includes all of the GTX image editing and conversion capabilities. The GTXImage CAD Series 8.0 installation starts from the GTX program CD, whether through the CD's Autorun menus or by exploring and running CD:\ICADV80\Setup.exe. This is the same executable made available for download from the GTX website. There are two stages of installation, beginning with the decompression of the actual installation program's files. A run of the CD:\ICADV80\Setup.exe file presents the following autoextraction window which allows a choice for the extraction path. The default path may vary from this example, and an alternate choice may be made through use of the Browse button.

The following choice, to begin the Image CAD installation, will appear if the previous "Run after extraction" check mark was not unchecked.

The following Welcome window allows the process to be continued or cancelled, terminating the installation.

Selection of the Next button from the previous window will open the End User
License Agreement. If you accept the terms of the license, select the Accept
button to continue the process. If you decline acceptance of the agreement
select the Reject button and the process will terminate, ending the
installation.

Some user controlled feature options are presented in the next step of the installation.

Selection of a Custom installation type provides a features tree from which the listed features may be accepted, or rejected, as parts of the final installation.

The installed Image CAD Series program files will be placed in the Destination
Folder selected during the next step. The default folder is always as specified in the following window. An alternate folder may be chosen by
selecting the Browse button and navigating to a preferred choice of hard
drive partitions or folder names.

The Configure page offers a choice of operating modes for the
finished GTXImage CAD Series 8.0 installation. If you have a HASP hardware key
to support licensed use of the product, select the Licensed version.
Otherwise select the Demonstration version. The choice of a Licensed
installation, which does not include the hardware key, will allow the
program to run in Demonstration mode after the program fails to find a
license.
For a licensed installation, the Product Level choice must be correctly
selected. Information on which level of the program to select may be
gathered from the serial number of the purchased product. The second letter
of the product serial number is intended to distinguish a license level, as
follows:
GTXImage CAD PLUS serial numbers begin with IPC
GTXImage CAD serial numbers begin with ICC
For installation of a Demonstration version , the GTX program will serve in a Demo mode for whichever program level is selected.

At the finish of the Image CAD installation the following tutorial is automatically displayed. This Licensing information describes all of the features, options, and methods of setting up a single user or floating multi-user license. The help file used to display this information is named Start.chm. This file may be found under the installed Image CAD file set or on a GTX CD.
