AutoCAD, GTX Menus and Toolbars - The GTXRaster CAD Series through Version 8.5
AutoCAD program menus automatically receive an addition when a GTXRaster CAD Series program is installed. Depending on the installed Raster CAD Series version, the menu file used for the addition will be GTXRCAD.MNU, GTXR2V.MNU, or GTXRTOOLS.MNU. In a running session of AutoCAD, with Raster CAD loaded, the MENULOAD command may be used to open the Menu Customization window which displays the list of menus in use.

A GTX menu may be loaded manually by applying the Browse button in the Menu Customization window, selecting the appropriate GTX MNU file, and finishing by applying the Load button. The GTX MNU files are each found in the main program folder for the Raster CAD Series program. By default this folder is installed to the C:\Program Files\GTX\ path, but may be elsewhere if a custom choice was made during the installation of the GTX program.

By design, operation of the GTX program is dependent on correct configuration within AutoCAD. A Support File Search Path listing, in the AutoCAD configuration Options interface, must include the Raster CAD Series program paths for the main program folder and it's BMPS subfolder. The presence of the main GTX folder at the top of the Support Paths will allow the GTX application to load in AutoCAD. The presence of the BMPS subfolder creates a source for the images displayed within GTX program icons. These support paths must be present within the AutoCAD configuration when AutoCAD is started in order for the previously described MNU file loading to fully succeed.

Failure of icon images to display in a GTX toolbar indicates the MNU file loading preceeded correct Support path listing for the BMPS folder. Correction for this condition is simple. Unload the GTX MNU file, correct the Support File Search Path configuration, restart AutoCAD / Raster CAD, reload the MNU file.
