Phoenix, Arizona – March 5, 2002 - GTX® Corporation, today announced the new release of
its popular GTXRaster CAD® Series for AutoCAD® 2002. The GTXRaster CAD Series 2002, Version 7.0,
is a unique solution bringing legacy paper drawings to your CAD design environment. This new
version will seamlessly take the AutoCAD 2002 user to the next level of design productivity. GTX
is the leader in providing Intelligent Paper to CAD Solutions® in raster editing and conversion
software, and also provides intelligent digital imaging solutions.
Available for Windows® 98, 2000, NT 4.0 and XP
“With our new GTXRaster CAD Series 2002, GTX Corporation continues its commitment in providing
our customers with the latest advancements in our raster conversion and editing software,”
stated Dr. Marvin T. Ling, President and CEO. “The improved performance of the GTXRaster CAD
Series 2002 provides our customers with superior tools to modify and enhance scanned raster
archives at a very cost-effective price.”
The GTXRaster CAD Series 2002 includes four product modules—GTXRaster Tools™, GTXRaster CAD®,
GTXRaster R2V™, and the GTXRaster CAD® PLUS. GTX currently supports these products within
AutoCAD® 2002. The software versions are also available for AutoCAD® 2000, AutoCAD® 2000i
& AutoCAD® R14.
The GTXRaster CAD Series 2002 provides compatibility with leading EDM systems and
engineering scanning solutions. Having a modular product approach gives the user flexibility
to meet their specific imaging needs which allows them to quickly integrate active legacy
data into their design and maintenance environments:
GTXRaster Tools™ is a very productive and easy-to-use approach to raster drawing
cleanup. These powerful “raster tools” complement the AutoCAD 2002 imaging environment
providing efficient image enhancing commands such as crop, erase, deskew, turn and despeckle.
It also supports raster snapping and raster erasing using GTX’s proprietary Intelligent Object
Picking™ (IOP).
GTXRaster CAD® is the industry-acclaimed “AutoCAD for Raster.” IOP features enable users
to edit raster data in the same manner as they would edit AutoCAD entities. Users benefit from
powerful hybrid (raster and vector) editing capability, allowing them to modify and enhance
scanned raster images.
GTXRaster CAD® PLUS has all the raster editing capabilities of GTXRaster CAD and
includes the added functionality of automatic raster to vector conversion, text conversion, batch
conversion and efficient vector editing tools. The product includes the GTX® ICR PLUS TM
Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) module for recognition of user-defined text styles and
fonts and the GTX OSR® Open Systems Recognition module, for an easy-to-use batch conversion method.
Users can select part or all of the drawing for automatic raster to vector conversion and use the
vector editing capability for efficient vector cleanup once the data is converted.
GTXRaster R2V™ complements and enhances other raster editors such as Autodesk CADOverlay®.
It provides additional functionality with a full suite of conversion technologies such as
Intelligent Object Picking, Batch Conversion, Raster to Vector Conversion, Intelligent Character
Recognition, and GTXRaster Tools.
The complete details regarding the Series are available through GTX Authorized Dealers and
Distributors as well as through the Sales and Marketing Department at GTX Corporation.
